Field Trips
Information for Teachers
Great Lakes Science Center is committed to providing the highest quality science experiences to this region’s students. The Strange Matter
exhibition offers students a unique learning experience by delving into the world of materials science, or the study of “stuff.” A dynamic blend of
physics, chemistry and engineering, this field of research studies how things are put together, how they might be improved or how they can change to
create brand new materials.
Strange Matter meets Ohio Science Standards and Benchmarks in physical science, science and technology and scientific ways of knowing for grades
K-12 and in scientific inquiry for grades K-8.
