"The Human Spark" Special Preview Event

Discover the origins and nature of the unique qualities that make us human. Great Lakes Science Center and WVIZ/PBS Ideastream® have partnered to bring you a preview of PBS’ TV series “The Human Spark.”

View clips from this fascinating new series and listen to experts Patricia Princehouse, evolutionary biologist, and Todd Oakley, cognitive scientist, from Case Western Reserve University, as they explain their respective fields’ relationship to the Human Spark and answer your questions.

Afterwards, investigate human innovation with featured Science Center exhibits. Marvel at humanity’s ability to explore outer space and discover the science behind space travel in the Return to the Moon gallery, investigate the rapidly advancing field of medicine in the BioMedTech: Engineering for Your Health gallery, and talk to additional scholars as you explore. The Science Center’s hundreds of other exhibits will also be open and refreshments will be available.
