On your mark, get set, GO! Great Lakes Science Center opens new ‘Sports Arena’ exhibit May 28 4/28/2016

CLEVELAND (April 28, 2016) – Get up, get moving and get the scoop on the science of sports when Great Lakes Science Center opens its newest special exhibition – Sports Arena! Sixteen interactive stations go beyond the typical "hands on" with balance beams, treadmills, sprint tracks and more in this special exhibition opening Saturday, May 28! Sports Arena is free with regular paid admission to the Science Center and runs through September 5.

Make sure your orbit aligns with Great Lakes Science Center’s new Yuri’s Weekend event on Saturday, April 16 and Sunday, April 17 as we celebrate the first man in space with some out of this world family fun!
Join the Science Center from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, April 16 and noon to 5 p.m. Sunday, April 17 for a brand new event in honor of the worldwide celebration of Yuri Gagarin’s historic space flight.


Science careers take center stage at Great Lakes Science Center during Girls Go!/Boys Go! Science sessions 3/17/2016

Join Great Lakes Science Center for Boys Go! Science on Saturday, April 2 and Girls Go! Science on Saturday, April 23.

These are special all-day programs of fun scientific exploration designed to spark the imagination and inspire boys and girls in grades 6-12 to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). Students choose from four different sessions led by scientists and STEM-based professionals who will help them recognize career-relevant STEM skills, expose them to successful role models and identify possible career paths and educational requirements.
